Aargau, Suíça. Temos aqui um synthpop de qualidade com elementos do EBM e do minimalismo (minimalismo esse que influenciava diversas bandas da época). Este duo se formou em '86 e neste disco de hoje eles fizeram um som de certa forma, mais "maduro" do que no álbum anterior de '87, Detlef And Destemonia's End. Aqui já podemos ver um melhor uso dos sintetizadores e nas programações, canções bem trabalhadas, enfim... um som superior (na minha opinião, claro).
As letras tratam a respeito de temas pessoais de um dia-a-dia qualquer com excessão da faixa título, um tema com uma forte pegada EBM. Destaco aqui todo esse lado A do disco que traz belas canções como My Room, com uma pegada mais darkwave/eletrogothic que me remete ao Poésie Noire; e A House, um synthpop que tem a mais bela melodia do disco. No lado B estão presentes músicas mais minimalistas e experimentais. Não descarto nenhuma das canções, são todas de uma boa audição para aqueles que gostam dos gêneros já citados. Esta é uma banda meio perdida nos 80s, tão boa quanto desconhecida. É como se fosse um lado B dos 80s, que para mim são onde estão as melhores bandas. Apreciem mais este som.

>>> Aargau, Switzerland. What we have right here is a quality synthpop with some elements from EBM and the minimal music. This duo were formed in '86 and in this today's album they made a sound in a certain way, more 'mature' than the last 87's album, Detlef And Destemonia's End. Here we can see (or would be hear?) a better use of the synthesizers and programming, more crafted songs... a superior sound (my opinion, of course).
The lyrics are about the day-by-day life excepting the title track, a song with a strong EBM beat. I point out the A side of this disc with excellent songs like My Room, with a electro gothic/darkwave beat which remember me Poésie Noire; and A House, a synthpop with the best melody of this album. The B side have minimal/experimental songs. All songs are good, with a good audition for those who like the above styles. This is a band half lost in the 80s, as good as unknown. It's like a B side from the 80s, for me this B side is where the best bands are. Enjoy it.
Um dos álbuns que mais escutei em 2011 e que se tornou pra mim um dos melhores de todos os tempos. :] Static Movement nada mais foi do que um projeto paralelo formado por Diego Merletto e Arianna ou Froxeanne do The Frozen Autumn. Quando se seguia alguns shows após o, então, último álbum do Frozen Autumn, o guitarrista Claudio Brosio deixou a banda e imediatamente após este projeto foi montado. Não se distanciavam muito da linha musical seguida no TFA porém, tinham o diferencial de não haver guitarras e maior participação de Froxeanne nos vocais. Assim, lançaram em '99 o Visionary Landscapes onde o foco principal das músicas estava no eletrônico, no synthpop/future pop. Ao meu ver, um álbum melhor do que o anterior lançado pelo TFA, o Fragment Of Memories. Uma versão ainda mais eletrônica de There's No Time To Recall foi lançada neste álbum, sem as guitarras. Para mim, não há absolutamente nenhuma música que não agrade aos fãs da música eletrônica. O álbum se divide em 4 músicas cantadas por Diego, 4 por Froxeanne e 2 instrumentais onde podemos ver um perfeito uso dos sintetizadores (Elka Synthex, PPG Wave 2.2 e S.C.I. Pro-One), numa combinação de melodias, loops e as vozes marcantes de ambos. Poderia destacar Radio Station, Into Your Arms, The Waveshaper, Nouvelle Vague e a faixa título, mas mais uma vez digo, não há absolutamente nenhuma música que não agrade. Enfim, mais um som da Itália para o seu arsenal.

>>> One of the most listened albums for me in 2011 and that became one of the best of all time. :] Static Movement was just a side project by Diego Merletto and Arianna or Froxeanne from The Frozen Autumn. When had occurred some shows after the last Frozen Autumn album, the guitarrist Claudio Brosio has left the band and immediately this project was mounted. There's no far distances between the sound of TFA and Static Movement, but this last had a differencial of no guitars and more participation of Froxeanne in vocals. So, Visionary Landscapes was released in '99 with the main focus of the songs as electronic, synthpop/future pop. In my opinion, a album better than the last one from TFA, the Fragment Of Memories. A more electronic version of There's No Time To Recall was released in this album, no guitars. For me, there's absolutely no one song that don't delight the fans of electronic music. The album was divided in 4 songs sung by Diego, 4 songs sung by Froxeanne and 2 instrumental where we can see a perfect use of the synthesizers (Elka Synthex, PPG Wave 2.2 and S.C.I. Pro-One), in a combination of melodies, loops and striking voices. I could call attention to Radio Station, Into Your Arms, The Waveshaper, Nouvelle Vague and the title song, but one more time I say, there's absolutely no song that don't delight the fans. Poésie Noire. Um dos maiores nomes em termos de música gótica e eletrônica que surgiu na Bélgica na década de 80. A banda iniciou na primeira metade da década de 80 e em '85 ganharam o Breekend Rock Festival, um festival de boa reputação que aconteceu em Bree, Bélgica. Esse festival abriu as portas e janelas para a banda, que no ano seguinte começou a abrir shows da Dead Can Dance e The Sisters Of Mercy, o que foi uma oportunidade de mostrar suas músicas para um público específico. Ao longo de pouco mais de 5 anos de existência, a Poésie Noire deixou 9 álbuns, 15 singles entre outros materiais. Apareceram (e aparecem) em diversas coletâneas de new wave ou EBM pelo mundo afora.
Em '92, devido a desavenças entre a Poésie Noire e sua gravadora, a banda mudou seu nome para TBX ("To Be eXcited") e assinaram com a EMI Belgium, onde lançaram Delirious. Porém, segundo a EMI o novo álbum não foi feito para o consumo em massa, o que acarretou na exclusão da TBX do catálogo da EMI, e por fim a separação da banda. Em 2006, eles anunciaram que estavam preparando um novo álbum e em 2010 saiu Sense Of Purpose.
Love Is Colder Than Death é (particularmente) o melhor álbum da Poésie Noire e está entre os melhores dos 80s, para mim claro. =] É notória a mudança entre este álbum e os anteriores, aqui há uma nova banda, explorando um novo som, um som que buscava atingir um público mais vasto. "Déjà Vu" é uma das canções que mostram bem isso, uma ótima canção aliás, meio pop sem abandonar as raízes da banda. Há músicas com melodias tristes/fúnebres e as letras animadas; há músicas com uma letra triste e uma melodia animada; e há "Aura Of Sadness" com uma das letras mais belas que já li (apesar de toda a tristesa da música), uma poesia triste acompanhada de uma melodia fúnebre. "Taste Of Candy" é uma linda canção também, calma e sutil com uma doce melodia. "Oblivion" vem para animar o lado A do álbum. "Icicle" é realmente uma música fria, onde a voz de Johan se encontra numa das melhores fases, profundamente mais mórbida. "The Lake" está entre as 3 melhores do Poésie Noire para mim. A versão deste álbum que posto hoje é a edição limitada estendida. Sem mais, espero que apreciem esta pérola dos anos 80. Enjoy it!

>>> Poésie Noire. One of the biggest names in terms of gothic and electronic music which originated in Belgian in the 80 decade. The band starts in the first half of the 80 decade and in '85 won Breekend Rock Festival, a festival with good reputation from Bree, Belgium. This festival opened the doors and windows to the band and next year began opening shows of the Dead Can Dance and The Sisters Of Mercy, which was an opportunity of show your songs to a specific public. Along seven years of existence, Poésie Noire leave to us 9 albuns, 15 singles and other materials. Appeared (and still appear) in collections and compilations from "EBM" and "New Wave" around the world.
In '92 'cause disagreements between Poésie Noire and your label, the band changed the name to TBX (To Be eXcited) and signed with EMI Belgium, and released Delirious album. However, EMI said that the new album was not for mass consumption, ended in the exclusion of the TBX from EMI catalogue and end of the band. In 2006 they announced that was working in a new album and in 2010 released Sense Of Purpose.
Love Is Colder Than Death is (particularly) the best Poésie Noire album and is among the bests from 80s, for me of course. =] It's notorious the change among this album and the previous. Here there's a new band, exploring a new sound, a sound that sought reach a wider public. "Déjà Vu" is one of the songs that show the change, a great song, half pop with no abandoning roots of Poésie Noire. There's songs with sad melodies and fun rhytms; there's songs with sad lyrics and fun melodies; and there's "Aura Of Sadness" with one of the most beautiful lyrics I've ever read (despite all sadness of song), a sad verses accompanied of a mournful melody. "Taste Of Candy" is a beautiful song too, calm and subtle with a sweet melody. "Oblivion" comes to animate side A of the album. "Icicle" is really really a cold song, where the Jo's voice is in the best phase, deeply more morbid. "The Lake" is among the top 3 of Poésie Noire for me. This album version of today is the extended version. No more, I hope that you enjoy it this pearl from 80s.
Banda alemã criada na cidade de Dortmund, que era um verdadeiro imã para atrair simpatizantes da música gótica e suas vertentes naqueles tempos. Se conheceram numa discoteca onde as pessoas se reuniam para dançar e conversar e no meio dessas conversas Thomas Lüdke e mais 2 amigos chamaram Marion Küchenmeister para uma sessão em seu pequeno estúdio. Então, nasceu o Invisible Limits.
Lançaram dois Maxi Singles (Love Is A Kind Of Mistery (1985) & Devil Dance (1986)) e com o sucesso que ambos fizeram decidiram lançar o primeiro álbum, porém, Thomas Lüdke entrou em conflito com os demais integrantes a respeito do estilo musical que a banda iria produzir e se afastou da banda. Assim, a banda lançou seu primeiro álbum Demand For Supply e decidiram manter o estilo com os doces vocais da Marion junto as batidas electro-pop/synthpop, com algumas influências do darkwave. Em 2005 após mais de 10 anos sem lançarem qualquer material oficial, lançaram um álbum intitulado The Final Album, para assim anunciar o fim da banda.
A Conscious State foi lançado em 1989 e trazia canções produzidas na época do primeiro álbum mas que não foram lançadas no mesmo, além de um cover da grande música do Joy Division: Love Will Tear Us Apart; e é este álbum que trago hoje.

Released two EP (Love Is A Kind Of Mistery (1985) & Devil Dance (1986)) and by the success of these releases they decided release the first album. However, Thomas Lüdke fell out with the other members because the band style in this first album and left the band. So, they released the first album Demand For Supply and decided keep the synthpop style with the nice voice of Marion and a little bit of darkwave. In 2005, after 10 years with no official works they released an album called The Final Album and announced the end of the band.
A Conscious State was released in '89 and bring songs from the first album era that was not released before, and a great cover of Love Will Tear Us Apart. This is the today's album. Enjoy. :]
